The story
Zack and Miri are roommates and close friends who find themselves in a predicament when their utility bills go unpaid, leading to their water and electricity being shut off before an important high school reunion. After witnessing a porn star at the reunion and seeing a viral video of Miri, Zack convinces a reluctant Miri that they should produce a pornographic film to generate enough money to cover their debts. They begin production on a Star Wars parody, but after their initial set is destroyed, they must adapt their production to a new location and concept to complete the project.

Zack and Miri, lifelong friends and roommates, face a crisis when their utility bills go unpaid, resulting in their water and electricity being cut off before their high school reunion. To solve their financial problems, Zack convinces Miri to star in a pornographic film. They initially film a Star Wars parody called 'Star Whores,' but after the set is destroyed, they pivot to a coffee-shop-themed film titled 'Swallow My Cockuccino.' As they film, the two develop genuine romantic feelings for one another. After a series of complications involving other actors and a misunderstanding about their feelings, Zack leaves the project and moves out. Three months later, he reunites with Miri, where they finally admit their love for each other. The film ends with them getting married and starting a production company for amateur couples.
