The story centers on young Zazy, who is apprenticing as a tailor in a small, idyllic town in Trentino. However, Zazy is unhappy with her life and dreams, together with her boyfriend Tomek, of a better, more exciting future. Meanwhile, the wealthy Marianna is spending her Easter holidays in Trentino without her husband, Maximilian, and has by now become friends with Zazy’s boss, Patrizio. Zazy gradually suspects that there is more going on between the two and, together with Tomek, spies on them during an outing. When Patrizio goes missing after the outing, Tomek and Zazy see their chance to climb the social ladder, and their sadistic game of power begins. Since Marianna does not want to be linked to Patrizio’s disappearance, she lets herself be blackmailed, while Zazy and Tomek gain ever greater access to Marianna’s world. Through Marianna’s husband Maximillian, a famous TV host, Zazy manages to step into the spotlight, and it seems as though all her dreams are about to come true.
