Full plot (contains spoilers)

During a traffic jam on a Belgrade bridge, a woman with a broken nose gets out of a taxi and jumps into the Sava. She leaves her baby behind in the taxi. In another car on the bridge, pharmacist Biljana argues with her boyfriend. In the middle of the argument, she gets out of the car and gets into the car of Anica, a teacher. The two quickly become friends. Taxi driver Gavrilo takes care of the baby. Since he operates his business illegally, he does not report the case at first and gives the baby to Jadranka, a prostitute. He sets out to find his passenger and learns that her name is Jasmina, but that, contrary to Gavrilo’s assumption, she is not of Bosnian descent. Gavrilo himself is still traumatized by the Bosnian War of the 1990s. Anica and Biljana are traumatized too: Anica has lost her son, and Biljana her fiancé. For a time, Biljana was also unhappily in love with a priest. In the end, Gavrilo manages to track down Jasmina and find out what caused her injury.
