Full plot (contains spoilers)

Vienna in the 1970s. Young Ken is in the middle of his training to become a police officer. His bisexuality leads him into the dependent clutches of an unnamed nightclub owner with underworld connections. On the one hand, the considerably older gay man claims Ken as his lover; on the other, he demands that Ken also sexually satisfy Carol, a calculating nymphomaniac businesswoman. The rookie policeman soon finds himself in a situation where, among other things—and especially sexually—he is being controlled by others, and resentment begins to simmer inside him. Ken does not want this life. He wants to lead a normal life, become a good policeman, and avoid becoming as corrupt as his own father once was. The very young Gerda, whose path crosses his, could offer the prospect of a fresh start, but before long it seems too late to turn back. When a former benefactor tries to blackmail him into discreetly turning a blind eye to an upcoming illegal arms deal, something begins to boil over inside Ken. The young man sees only one way to break his chains: a violent, explosive act of liberation. In his rampage, Ken shoots four underworld gangsters and is himself killed in a terrorist attack.
