Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde must navigate a conspiracy involving a pit viper and the true history of Zootopia.
The story
A week after Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde become partners in the Zootopia Police Department (ZPD), their clashing personalities start to complicate their work. Chief Bogo threatens to separate them unless they resolve their differences. During a raid on a smuggling ring, Judy finds a piece of snake skin, a discovery significant as snakes have not been seen in Zootopia for a century. Suspecting a snake may appear at the Zootennial Gala, Judy and Nick prepare for the event. However, the discovery of a pit viper and a mysterious journal leads them into a conspiracy that threatens their reputations and the stability of the city.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
Following the discovery of a pit viper named Gary De'Snake at the Zootennial Gala, Judy and Nick are framed for a crime and forced to become fugitives. They team up with Nibbles Maplestick, a conspiracy theorist, to find a hidden reptile district in Marsh Market. They learn that Gary's ancestor, Agnes, was the true founder of Zootopia, but was framed and exiled. The plot involves a struggle over a journal containing the truth about the city's climate-regulating walls. After a series of confrontations, including a betrayal by a man named Pawbert, Judy and Nick eventually uncover the truth. The Lynxley family is arrested, Agnes is credited as the true founder, and the reptile district is reintegrated into Zootopia. The film ends with Judy and Nick beginning to track down escaped convicts, including Dawn Bellwether.
