The story
Architects Max Stein and Ulli Mattuschke work together in an office in Max’s apartment, where they are working intensely on a project. Their routine changes when Ulli’s sister Lisa arrives with her baby, Maya, and moves in with them. Max is not pleased by the sudden arrangement.

The architects Max Stein and his partner Ulli Mattuschke work together in an office in Max’s apartment. While they are working feverishly on a project, Ulli’s sister Lisa suddenly turns up with her baby, Maya, and moves in with them. Max is not at all pleased, but as time goes by, he comes to enjoy all the commotion. When Lisa takes a job to earn money for her own apartment, Max takes care of Maya more and more and, as a result, meets a lot of women. Max’s father, Franz, also moves in with him for a few days, supposedly because his girlfriend threw him out, but in reality because he wants to talk things over with his son, as he is about to become a father again himself. Max and Lisa get to know each other better and fall in love.
