The story

Tommy and Mike are out of work and broke when they stumble upon a motor show while searching for a public toilet. They are unexpectedly celebrated as its 100,000th visitors and win two trikes, hamburger vouchers, and camping gear. Unknown to them, two priceless gemstones stolen from a nearby museum the previous night have been hidden in the trikes’ trim. The friends set off toward Austria without realizing what their new vehicles contain. Along the way, Tommy and Mike each give a lift to a hitchhiking woman, while the thieves responsible for the theft pursue the men to recover the jewels.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Tommy and Mike, once again out of work and broke, stumble upon a motor show while looking for a public toilet and are promptly honored as the 100,000th visitors. The grand prize is two trikes, along with a stack of hamburger vouchers and some camping gear. What the two of them don’t know is that, the previous night, two world-famous gemstones known as the “Tiger Eyes” were stolen from a nearby museum and hidden in the trikes’ trim. So they set off toward Austria, unaware of what their trikes are really worth. Along the way, they pick up two women hitchhiking: Tommy gives a ride to a circus performer who is heading to her circus in Villach, and Mike to a nurse who works in Klagenfurt. As they part, each man gives his admirer a gemstone—none other than the priceless “Tiger Eyes.” The crooks, naturally eager to get their stones back, stay on the two men’s heels, and several chaotic car chases ensue.
