Full plot (contains spoilers)
Krister wakes up sprawled on the bathroom floor, inexplicably covered in blood. In a frenzy, he heads to work as a driving instructor, but he is clearly disoriented and leaves his student in the middle of the road before setting off on a chaotic wander, searching for a clear-headedness that seems to come and go, with mixed results. When he returns home, we discover his wife lying there in a pool of blood, and his son calling to him, injured in his crib and unable to move. Krister has a moment of clarity and, wrapping the child in a blanket, takes him straight to the hospital, where he receives treatment and his life is saved. After learning that the police have arrived at his house, the man then goes to his mother’s. He picks up a knife, but does not even know whom to turn it against. He tries to throw himself under a train but fails. After buying a gift, he takes it to his son at the hospital, where he is finally stopped by the police.
