A tailgating father’s highway dispute with a van driver escalates into a threat to his family.

The story

A family with two children sets out to visit the paternal grandparents for the weekend. Their stressed, hurried father, Hans, tailgates on the highway and provokes a dispute with Ed, a white-van driver who sticks to the speed limit and prevents him from passing. During a stop at a gas station, Ed confronts Hans’s wife, Diana, and their daughters. Hans intervenes, but refuses to accept criticism of his aggressive driving, and a fistfight is narrowly avoided. Once the family is back on the highway, Ed continues following them, turning a road-rage clash into an unnerving pursuit.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

A family with two children drives to visit the paternal grandparents for the weekend. Father Hans (Jeroen Spitzenberger) is a stressed, hurried man whose habit of tailgating on the highway provokes a traffic dispute with Ed, the driver of a white van (Willem de Wolf), who prevents him from passing by sticking to the speed limit. While Hans is using the restroom at a gas station, the van’s driver confronts his wife, Diana (Anniek Pheifer), and their two daughters. When Hans intervenes, Ed criticizes him for his aggressive driving. Hans, however, refuses to admit he is in the wrong, and a fistfight is only narrowly avoided. Back on the highway, the white van continues to follow them. After Ed manages to get hold of Hans’s phone, he finds out where the family home is. Ed then goes to confront the parents and waits there for Hans and his family. Ed manages to escape, but just when Hans thinks he is safe, he runs into Ed again.
