The story
Jana, 18, works in a workshop for people with disabilities, and her social-media vlog offers a glimpse of her daily life. She spends her spare time on social networks, posting provocative messages through various fake accounts. Those posts bring her into contact with a right-wing group. Its members are unlike what she expected: they spend a lot of time discussing things and are always doing exciting stuff. Her many followers quickly give Jana a certain status among them.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
A car bomb explodes outside a Berlin cinema during the premiere of an Israeli film. The bomber is Jana, 18, who dies in the attack. The only clue to her motive is her social media vlog. It shows what Jana’s everyday life is like: she works in a workshop for people with disabilities and passes the time on social networks, where she posts provocative messages under various fake accounts. This brings her into contact with a right-wing group. Its members are quite different from what she had imagined: they spend a lot of time discussing things and are always doing exciting stuff. Thanks to her many followers, Jana immediately gains a certain status. With every meeting, she identifies with them more and more—her political views grow increasingly extreme, and their shared actions increasingly daring. She falls in love with one of the guys and doesn’t realize that she is being used to carry out a fatal suicide attack.
