Full plot (contains spoilers)
This pioneering film in the documentary, nature, and mountain-film genres has no plot in the usual sense. A series of ski descents showcases the beauty of the Central European glacial landscape, reaching peaks nearly 4,200 meters high. At the center are the athletic, at times downright acrobatic feats of the experienced skiers, some of whom also operate the cameras during their descents and jumps over crevasses. A few of them continued to work in (mountain) filmmaking afterward.
