Der Formel Eins Film (1985)

The young auto mechanic Tina dreams of a career as a pop singer. She tries her luck with her demo tape on the music show Formel Eins, hosted by Ingolf Lück. There she crosses paths with music producer Jim and his star, Günther Sigl of the Spider Murphy Gang. She also meets the production assistant Stevie, who accidentally erases her tape and whom she later falls in love with. When Meat Loaf goes on a rampage in his dressing room and Tina manages to calm him down, she is hired as a star attendant and meets Re-Flex, Pia Zadora, Falco, Limahl, and Katrina and the Waves. Stevie, a driver for a Bundeswehr general, has meanwhile deserted because he believes Tina wants to marry Limahl. In the end, wild chase scenes unfold on the Bavaria film studio grounds: the general and his troops are looking for Stevie on the set of a war film, while Limahl is being pursued by an unsuccessful punk band and its manager.
