A disillusioned palliative-care doctor’s brush with death rekindles his sensitivity and sets a dangerous choice in motion.
The story
Diego, a doctor in a palliative care unit, has grown numb to the suffering and death around him. His work has eroded his interest in his profession, his love for his partner, and his commitment as a father. After one of his patients attempts suicide, Diego becomes entangled in an incident that leaves him unconscious with a bullet lodged in his body. The experience begins to restore his sensitivity, but the change brings a new dilemma: a decision he faces threatens to endanger the people closest to him.
