The story

Daisy Baroness Eggloffsburg is a lively, mischievous young aristocrat whose chief interest is horse racing. Her pranks and unconventional ideas exasperate her stern uncle, Egon, who decides someone must straighten her out. He hires the young sportsman Harry Spring to reform Daisy and help put the rundown estate of the racehorse-owning Baron Eggloffsburg back in shape. But Daisy is not easily subdued: she turns her prankster ways on Harry, tormenting the very suitor tasked with curbing her behavior.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

Daisy Baroness Eggloffsburg is a bundle of energy: a spoiled, rather lively and cheerful tomboy who is always up to mischief. As a member of the upper class, her whole interest is in horse racing. She grew up among aspiring jockeys and, as a result, is practically at home on the racetrack. Her uncle Egon, a stern old-fashioned gentleman, thinks that enough is enough with her high jinks and harebrained ideas—one moment she sprays people with the garden hose, the next she locks two horses that don’t get along in the same stall, then she shoots candy at guests or throws goldfish into the punch. A man must be found to give her a talking-to and tame Daisy. The young sportsman Harry Spring, hired for the job, is supposed to put both the girl and the rundown estate of racehorse owner Baron Eggloffsburg back in shape. The aristocratic young lady must finally be rid of her silly notions! But Daisy doesn’t give in so easily and now starts tormenting the young suitor with the very same prankster methods she knows so well. Things turn out as they must: those who tease each other fall in love, and young Harry eventually succeeds in taming Miss Mischief and leading her to the altar.
