Full plot (contains spoilers)
Becki Berger is upset that she has to move to a village. She misses the big city and is bored in what she calls a one-horse town. But her mother, Anne Berger, is convinced she is doing the right thing because she wants to turn the inherited farm into a guesthouse. However, the police, the construction workers, and bureaucracy stand in her way. Then Karl, a passionate boxer, shows up at the farm. At first, the two are at loggerheads, but Karl eventually turns out to be a kind, helpful man. He tries every means possible to pay off Anne’s debts.
