Hörig bis zur letzten Sünde (1970)

A bank clerk is persuaded to take part in a robbery at his bank because his wife, Christine, demands luxury and is hard to satisfy. Suspicion quickly falls on him, since an unusually large amount of money was in the bank that day. Lawyer Peter Keller is assigned to defend the bank clerk in court. The clerk admits to his lawyer that his wife is keeping the money. Keller now becomes interested in the stolen money himself, and after the man, sentenced to 15 years in prison, takes his own life behind bars, Keller makes a move on his widow. Keller pretends to love Christine, hoping she will reveal where the money is hidden. At the same time, he has affairs with other women. Keller marries Christine, but his former lover Brigitte tells Christine who she has really married. Christine takes her own life with an overdose of pills. At the last moment, Keller tries to learn the hiding place from his dying wife, but to no avail. One day, the lawyer’s many relationships with women prove to be his undoing. The authorities get on his trail, and Keller is shot dead during a wild chase.
