Full plot (contains spoilers)

Bank clerk Flemming Borck gets wind of a planned bank robbery and uses the information to pocket some money for himself. The bank robber is unhappy when he hears about a missing sum far larger than his own haul, and begins blackmailing Flemming. But Flemming is more cunning and manages to frame the robber for another robbery. At his father’s funeral, he meets the lovely Jane Merrild, who had cared for his father at the nursing home. Flemming soon discovers, however, that this is not true: she is actually a friend of the robber. While the robber is in prison, Jane chooses to stick with Flemming, and they go on a luxury holiday in Tunisia, pretending that he has inherited money. The robber is acquitted, however, and tracks the couple to their resort. A police officer who does not believe the robber is innocent follows him. Separately, both of them find Jane and Flemming, and they accidentally kill the police officer. They decide to get rid of him, and the couple split up. But the robber has taken some incriminating photographs...
