During the search, he meets Johan’s mother, friends, and enemies, encountering the people connected to the absent man. Johan himself remains unseen, represented in the proposed film only through quotations from letters. The article describes Philippe’s attempt to assemble a cast and make the project possible, without revealing the outcome of that effort.
