Krauses Weihnacht (2022)

While riding his motorcycle, Horst Krause finds Tilla on a country road. She has run away from the “Kinderhaus Sonnenschein” in the neighboring village, and he takes her back there. He reprimands the children who had made fun of Tilla. Since the girl is musically gifted, he arranges for her to attend music school with Fanny, whose father has since died. To give the children at the home a treat, Krause spontaneously invites them to the inn. Its landlady, Paula, is not very pleased, as she had not been prepared for them. Paula’s son Timo befriends Samuel, who is the same age, and tries to persuade his parents to adopt him. But Samuel’s fun-loving mother, who had neglected him, now wants him back. At first the boy is not receptive to this, since his mother had disappointed him all too often. Krause gets her a job as a waitress at Paula’s inn, while Elsa and Meta take care of her neglected finances. Eventually Samuel trusts his mother again. Paula and Thomas now decide to adopt Mäxchen. To Paula’s surprise, she discovers that she is pregnant. But this does not change her decision to adopt little Max. Thomas and Paula joyfully tell the others that their family will soon be growing by two.
