Full plot (contains spoilers)
Renato, a young insurance agent, is approached on the street by a beautiful girl named Anna. Without even understanding how it happened, he finds himself in her bed, only to discover shortly afterward that she is under house arrest for armed robbery. She is staying at her mother’s house, where she has a terrible relationship with her mother, and rarely goes out, except when she is granted permission to sit exams at the university, where she enrolled simply to give herself a diversion. Renato’s life is turned upside down by meeting Anna, and he realizes that he has fallen hopelessly in love with her. He leaves the woman he had planned to marry and neglects his job, all to devote himself to someone who will inevitably draw him into unimaginable experiences. Renato even finds himself involved in a robbery, and then gives all his savings to save Anna’s mother’s house, since otherwise her mother would be sent to prison. Anna thus finds the strength to truly apply herself to the university exam she is preparing for again. With Renato’s help, she takes it and passes, with difficulty but equal satisfaction. Released early, partly thanks to her good academic results, Renato fears losing her, but has to change his mind: Anna, thanks in part to him, seems to have become a truly new person and, above all, determined to return his love.
