Full plot (contains spoilers)

Juliette (Emmanuelle Devos) is at a turning point in her life. Married to a school principal and living with two children in this residential suburb, she does not want to become like her friends, who have completely given up their careers to devote themselves to their homes. Juliette used to be a teacher, and she is waiting to hear about a position that would allow her to return to work in publishing. In the meantime, she runs an optional literary workshop for troubled girls at a vocational high school. In one scene, she asks the students to comment on a passage from Virginia Woolf’s *To the Lighthouse*, which echoes her own life to some extent. The film follows Juliette over 24 hours as she juggles her obligations with her desire to work, while also, to a lesser extent, depicting her friends’ domestic lives and their relationships with their respective husbands.
