The story
Ariane, in her thirties, falls in love with a mysterious man after he promises her an unforgettable, erotic year over the phone on New Year’s Eve. He refuses to reveal himself or meet her, and she becomes dependent on their strange affair. Ariane confides in Dolorès, her colleague at Love Voyages, a dating agency for single people. Dolorès recounts the romance to their office colleagues, who follow it vicariously through her detailed account. They have had no news of Ariane for several days and worry about her as a serial killer operates in their neighborhood.

Ariane, in her thirties, falls madly in love with a mysterious man who, one New Year’s Eve, promised her over the phone an unforgettable, erotic year. Dependent on this strange affair—the stranger refuses to reveal himself or meet her—Ariane confides in Dolorès, with whom she works at Love Voyages, a dating agency specializing in matches between single people. Dolorès cannot resist telling their office colleagues everything, especially since they have had no news of the young woman for several days.
