The story
After a man’s body is found hanging upside down in the cemetery at Montjoyer, local gendarme Alex Lazzari is assigned to investigate with Alicia Tirard of the Grenoble Research Section. Their collaboration starts badly because Alex had recently caught Alicia’s delinquent son.

A man’s body is found hanging upside down in the cemetery at Montjoyer. Alex Lazzari, a local gendarme, is assigned to investigate, but he has to work with Alicia Tirard from the Grenoble Research Section. Their collaboration gets off to a bad start: shortly beforehand, Alex had caught Alicia’s delinquent son. As for the investigation, the man is not immediately identified, but the autopsy leads them to think he might be a monk from Notre-Dame d’Aiguebelle Abbey, near the cemetery. The body is indeed identified: it is Brother Yves. The congregation produces an herbal liqueur. Legend has it that an elixir of immortality is behind the liqueur. Could the religious man’s death be connected to his work at the abbey?
