The story
Police Captain Tess Borski has returned to Pas-de-Calais with her husband and daughter. During a visit to a mining site with her daughter, she and the group discover the body of a prominent local figure. Assigned to investigate alongside Commissioner François Dubois, Tess’s inquiry brings the Courrières disaster back into focus.
