The story

Young boxer Tarik Demir is found murdered in a sports hall, and Detectives Marie Brand and Jürgen Simmel begin investigating. They learn that Demir, who worked as a psychologist, had been conducting a study with violent offenders into whether boxing could help prevent aggression. Sina Fink, who has a criminal record, was the last person seen with Demir and becomes the first suspect. As she goes into hiding, Brand and Simmel search for her and encounter Professor Neu, the study’s leader, who was also in the sports hall when the crime took place.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The young boxer Tarik Demir is found murdered in a sports hall. In the course of their investigation, Detectives Marie Brand and Jürgen Simmel discover that Demir, working as a psychologist, had been conducting a study with a group of violent offenders on the possible aggression-preventing effects of boxing. Sina Fink (Natalia Rudziewicz), who has a criminal record, was the last person seen with Demir and is therefore the first to come under suspicion. While searching for the suspect, who has gone into hiding, Brand and Simmel meet Professor Neu, head of the psychological study, who was also in the sports hall at the time of the crime. When Sina is finally tracked down, she accuses the professor of raping her. He, in turn, accuses Demir of raping Sina. Simmel then goes undercover in the boxing world. His investigation, together with Marie Brand’s analytical skills, ultimately enables the two detectives to prove Professor Neu committed the crime and establish Sina’s innocence.
