Diego Gardini is a rich, arrogant entrepreneur and the owner of a winery that produces what he himself calls Italy’s best vintage wine. On Christmas Day, while at the airport for a business trip to Australia, he is approached in the restroom by two cleaners, Sabino and Ivano. Recognizing him, they awkwardly ask him for a selfie. After insulting them, Diego sends a message to the owner of the company they work for, asking him to have them fired for incompetence. But when Diego leaves his smartphone on the sink, the two cleaners take it and begin making expensive online purchases and using Gardini’s social media accounts to post offensive messages in an attempt to smear the entrepreneur’s reputation. While going through the phone, Sabino and Ivano discover that Gardini also has bank accounts in the Cayman Islands. They go to the Christmas charity party Gardini had also been invited to, where they even meet Sabrina Salerno, of whom Ivano is a huge fan, and spend Christmas evening with her. The event, however, is filmed and posted online, and Ivano’s wife, Maria, sees it. Furious, she scolds him and harshly throws him out of the house as soon as he gets back. Meanwhile, Gardini has boarded the plane, but soon realizes he does not have his phone with him. He manages to borrow one and alert his cousin Lorenzo, asking him to keep an eye on those two guys from the restroom. In the meantime, Ivano and Sabino are staying at the luxury hotel where Gardini had recently been living after his divorce. They befriend Luca, the entrepreneur’s son, who had been living at boarding school since his parents’ separation, and try to bring father and son closer again. When he returns from his business trip, Gardini discovers that Lorenzo, having got hold of the phone, has started posting increasingly offensive comments on social media—including some against the Pope—in order to completely smear his cousin’s reputation, and has replaced him at work. With Ivano and Sabino’s help and a brilliant plan, Gardini manages to get Lorenzo fired and make the company worthless so that he can buy it back. His new friends make the purchase using the money previously hidden in the Cayman Islands. Gardini thus becomes a partner in the company once again, together with Ivano, Sabino, and their families, and falls in love with Linda, a flight attendant he had met on the plane who had helped him. Ivano, meanwhile, manages to reconcile with his wife, who later becomes pregnant.
