The story
Trude, a pensioner in East Berlin, is soon to marry her longtime partner, Heinz. Before the wedding, she and some friends devise a prank: they turn an old construction trailer left in front of her apartment building into a luxurious bungalow with a new artistic exterior. The transformation angers many of her neighbors.

Trude, a pensioner living in East Berlin, is soon to marry her longtime partner, Heinz. But before that, Trude and some friends have devised a prank. An old construction trailer that construction workers left standing in front of her apartment building some time ago is converted into a luxurious bungalow and given a new, artistic exterior. This angers many of Trude’s neighbors, leading to all manner of complications and a city council resolution, since the structure is a protected historic monument.
