Full plot (contains spoilers)
At the beginning, the activists meet in an apartment and talk about their activism in Berlin. The film then shows each of the protagonists individually as they organize or talk about their motivations. Quang meets a friend in Ernst-Thälmann-Park to take photos to promote an upcoming panel discussion. He then talks about how different his parents’ outlook was: they came to the GDR as contract workers, and racism was part of everyday life for them. After that, he moderates a discussion at the Urania on resistance to the far right in East Germany. A few days later, he is seen working as a press spokesperson for Fridays for Future. Zaza is training to become a qualified nurse and organizes the trainees for a strike organized by ver.di. At a networking meeting, he gets together with like-minded people and discusses how strikes are perceived and the living conditions of trainees. Back at his apartment, he paints posters with a friend and makes clear how much the combination of training and activism is taking its toll on him. He is later seen at a ver.di demonstration, where he also encounters other protagonists from the documentary. Feline is a single mother and creates a cake decorated with the faces of the victims of the attack in Hanau. She can only afford to do this thanks to donations, and she also gives the finished cake to people who are unemployed. When her daughter comes home, Feline tries to teach her about class struggle. Later, she meets Patricia and Simin by a lake to discuss how to organize left-wing activism. Patricia campaigns for the Deutsche Wohnen & Co. expropriation initiative and, while at a local office of Die Linke, meets a politician with a migrant background. Alongside their political initiatives, they both address the needs of people in their neighborhood and want to improve their living conditions. Patricia also creates social media content for the initiative. Simin has roots in Iran and is therefore committed to equality for migrants in Germany. At a memorial event marking ten years since the occupation of Oranienplatz, she gives an impassioned speech against the police and rearmament. Finally, at another panel discussion at the Urania, with her fellow activists present, she argues in favor of cooperation among left-wing activists.
