Full plot (contains spoilers)
Pil, a little orphan, lives in the medieval city of Roc-en-Brume with three “weasels” (actually a weasel, an ermine, a ferret, and, in the end, a genet) that she has tamed. She survives by stealing food from the castle of Regent Tristan, who plans to usurp the throne. As Tristan tries to poison the rightful heir, Roland, Roland is accidentally transformed into a “chicken-cat,” a creature that is half cat and half chicken. Meanwhile, to escape the guards, Pil puts on a princess costume. Against her will, she finds herself caught up in an adventure to find Roland.
