At a family meal, 32-year-old Cédric learns that his sister is expecting a child. While the news is met with genuine excitement by the whole family, it strikes Cédric—who still lives with his parents—in a strange way, tinged with a certain resentment. Cédric, whose modest dream of a trip to Austria is a subject of debate, gradually turns his resentment into anger, and then fury. During this family celebration, he tries to make everyone see the harm he claims to have suffered. Between denial and paranoia, rebellion and pretense, how far is a family willing to go to preserve its balance? At what point must it suppress difference?
