The ambitious Mona G. Carlsen takes part in a team-building weekend with the other three members of her team. The team works for an unspecified company that has landed a major new client, and one of the four will be appointed team leader for the account during the weekend. There, Mona learns that an anonymous complaint has been made against her for intimidating behavior. She suspects a campaign against her within the team to manipulate the promotion and tries to find out who made the complaint. During the team-building activities, it becomes clear that Mona does not fit naturally into her team. She feels that the others have banded together against her, while they wonder why Mona keeps isolating herself. Mona particularly suspects her colleague Sofie of having filed the complaint. After an awkward attempt to question her discreetly, Mona files a complaint against Sofie herself, even though she cannot name any specific grounds for it—she just has a general feeling that Sofie is against her. To her own surprise, Mona gets the team-leader job. She has not yet fully realized that this is a disappointment to the other three, all of whom thought they had a chance. During one of the activities the following day, Mona imperiously dictates how it should be done, without any discussion. When the others do not follow her without question, she reproaches them and now openly accuses Sofie of having complained about her for no reason, while Sofie insists that she did not. Then the quiet, inconspicuous Svend tells Mona that he was the one who made the complaint, because of exactly this kind of situation. Although Mona recognizes her serious mistake, she cannot even bring herself to apologize and continues to see herself as the victim, so the others walk away without a word. As the end of the weekend is celebrated, Mona sits alone in her room, posts about her promotion on LinkedIn, and enjoys the congratulations that come in.
