The story
Sixteen-year-old Leïla wakes late one morning to discover that no one is there to hurry her along. Her parents are missing, and the neighborhood is deserted. She eventually encounters four other young people: Dodji, Yvan Gersh, Camille, and Terry. Together, they face an unfamiliar and hostile world, trying to work out what happened and how to stay alive. Their first challenge is not knowing whether anyone else remains—or what caused everyone around them to disappear.
