Storno - Todsicher versichert (2015)

Young Rupert Halmer is an insurance salesman who, on the orders of his division manager, Schulze, is supposed to sell as many life insurance policies as possible in a village in Lower Bavaria. On his way there, he causes a minor car accident by hitting farmer Olivia Poltrock’s handcart. She later turns out to be the only person interested in a very large life insurance policy—not for herself, but for her sick father, Adolf. Halmer is delighted to have met Poltrock and proudly presents his success to his boss. But the medical examination is still pending. Halmer tries to persuade the doctor to issue a certificate, but the doctor is obliged to tell the truth. Olivia promptly beats him to death after the doctor’s rounds, because his findings could jeopardize the plan. Schulze himself is later killed for the same reason, because he had witnessed some of the activities. Halmer, meanwhile, is locked in a cage. Using a mobile phone they find, the police are able to locate farmer Olivia. When they arrive at the farm, she pulls out a shotgun. Shortly afterward, however, she collapses and dies. As a result of the death, the insurance salesmen get a new manager, but Halmer decides to quit and leaves town with Lena, the waitress.
