As Viking raiders exploit the weakened territories left by Attila’s westward advance, commander Toro attacks a Hun fortress where Attila’s daughter Yonca has taken refuge.
The story
As Attila’s Huns conquer Europe, their advance leaves territories with only small Hun forces, and Viking raiders exploit the weakened defenses. The Vikings cross the North Sea to raid southern European shores and have even formed an alliance with the Chinese. During this period, Attila’s daughter, Lady Yonca, takes refuge in a Hun fortress. Viking commander Toro considers its defenses weak and attacks, capturing Yonca and the Hun women inside, setting the fortress ablaze, and wounding Tarkan.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film takes place in the days when Attila, leader of the European Huns, who had come from north of the Black Sea, was conquering the countries of Europe one by one. While Europe lived in the darkness of the Middle Ages, the most barbarous people of that era lived on the Scandinavian Peninsula: the Vikings. Crossing the raging North Sea in their longships, they landed on the shores of southern Europe and mercilessly plundered them, burning and destroying everything before taking their living and inanimate spoils back to their homeland. The Hun storm sweeping across Europe had trampled the continent and left its countries defenseless. The Vikings took advantage of this and continued their raids. For the great Hun leader Attila was moving west, leaving small Hun forces in charge of the countries he had conquered. The Vikings seized on this, watching for opportunities and attacking wherever they found weakness. At a time when the Vikings were attacking everywhere and had even formed an alliance with the Chinese, Attila’s daughter, Lady Yonca, takes refuge in a Hun fortress. Viking Commander Toro attacks the fortress, whose defenses he considers weak, kills Tarkan’s loyal friend Kurt, captures Lady Yonca and the Hun women in the fortress, and sets it ablaze. He also wounds Tarkan. Intending to hand Lady Yonca over to Lotus, the Chinese emperor’s daughter, Toro rebels against King Gero and makes himself the new king. He sacrifices the deposed king to a giant octopus. Tarkan, who escapes the burning fortress and recovers in time, sets out after the Vikings and is taken captive by them. Meanwhile, Viking King Gero’s daughter Ursula returns to the Viking fortress from an expedition and learns that her father has been killed and Toro is the new king. The paths of Ursula, whose father has been killed, and Tarkan, who wants to rescue Lady Yonca, cross, and they set off in pursuit of Toro and Lotus.
