Full plot (contains spoilers)

The film is set in an unknown time, in an unknown city and an unknown country torn apart by war. Some of its characters are identified only by the initials of their names, heightening the mystery and suspense. “X” and “Nai” are young colleagues who share the same home and have a very close friendship. Their job is to copy administrative documents at a government ministry facility. A few days before the New Year, “X”—a name that suggests an unidentified person, and a man with a disability in one leg—confides to “Nai” that he is in love with “Mimi,” who feels the same way about him. Although life has smiled on “X,” played by Saïd Bay, with a happy love affair, an impending marriage, and a long, comfortable life undisturbed by anything, he cannot accept the promising future awaiting him and begins to descend into a spiral of nightmares that gradually drive him mad.
