Toni, männlich, Hebamme - Eine runde Sache (2020)

Luise is dating football manager Leo Attinger and is expecting a child with him. His star player, Arthur “Walli” Wallner, and his wife Kathy are also expecting a baby, but they still need a midwife. Luise recommends Toni. At the first meeting, Walli’s agent, Holger Gersch, is there too. He demands that Toni sign a contract containing a €500,000 penalty clause. Toni refuses, and as Walli drives away, he wrecks Toni’s bicycle with his car. Since Kathy is determined to have Toni as her midwife, she tells Walli to go to Toni and apologize. She also wants him to agree not to sign the contract. Ferdi has to move with his mother in with her future husband, Achim, and his son, Janosch. He is not happy about it, and Janosch is hardly keen to have competition in the house either. Franzl’s relationship with Evi is going well. When she visits him, he wants to introduce her to Toni, but he still has no idea that the two already know each other. So Evi makes her escape through the window. Kathy goes into labor during her childbirth class, and Luise immediately takes her to the hospital. Leo tells Walli, who rushes over to her. But when complications arise during the birth, Walli collapses and doesn’t come around until after the baby is born. Toni then examines Luise as well, since she has been showing signs of labor. Leo thinks it is unreasonable that she is still working. Back at home, Kathy leaves Walli alone with the baby because she wants to be a bridesmaid at her best friend’s bachelorette party. Walli is completely overwhelmed, so he calls Toni in the middle of the night and asks him for help. After Toni manages to get the baby to sleep, they spend the rest of the night together by the pool. When Kathy gets home the next morning, she finds the two men asleep on the sofa with the baby. Walli has a photo shoot afterward, and Kathy leaves the baby with him again, so he simply hires Toni as a babysitter—which Toni is not at all happy about. Toni gets a call from Hanna because Ferdi has been in a fight with Janosch, who had provoked him mercilessly by insulting his father. Walli drives Toni over, and Janosch changes his tune in an instant because he is a huge Walli fan. Toni takes Ferdi home, and he and Walli have something to eat together. As Toni is saying goodbye to Walli, Walli suddenly kisses him. Leo then gets a call saying that a paparazzo has taken pictures of the two kissing. He goes to see Toni because he thinks Toni is gay, since he lives with Franzl. But Toni explains that Walli initiated the kiss. When Toni goes to Walli to talk about what happened, Walli suddenly attacks him. Apparently, Leo has told him that Toni commissioned the photos to blackmail them. The atmosphere at home between Luise and Leo turns frosty over the whole affair, as Luise no longer trusts him. Leo tries everything to change that, but she gives him the cold shoulder. Walli confesses to his wife that he is gay, and she packs her things. Tensions are also high at the practice: Toni no longer wants to work with Luise. Back at home, he learns that Evi is Franzl’s new girlfriend. Leo sees no way out of the crisis except to sell Walli to another club. Luise overhears him talking to Holger. When she confronts Leo, he shuts her down, so she goes to Toni and Franzl and tells them what Leo is planning. Toni and Franzl want to tell Walli, who is at training. At first, he refuses to believe it, but Toni seems to have convincing arguments. Luise goes home and walks in on negotiations to sell Walli. She has to pretend she is having contractions so Leo will speak with her in private. But his old-fashioned views on homosexuality make her question whether he is the right man for her. Suddenly, they hear that Walli is giving a press conference and coming out. As a result, his market value drops to almost zero. But he has regained his credibility. Toni, Franzl, and Walli meet by the lake, and Luise and Kathy join them. Kathy is proud of Walli and hugs him. Leo sends Luise a text saying that he is holding a press conference. He announces that the club knew Walli was gay and will continue to stand by him. He also announces his own resignation, saying that he wants to spend more time with his family. Luise doesn’t know what to make of it, but she is glad Toni is there with her.
