Torrente 3 - El protector (2005)

European Parliament member Giannina Ricci (Yvonne Sciò), famous for her fight against polluting companies, arrives in Spain to publicly denounce the multinational corporation Petronosa. The company’s management is alarmed by the situation, so it bribes some police officers to make the European Parliament member’s protection as inadequate as possible. In response, they decide to entrust José Luis Torrente (Santiago Segura) with the mission of protecting Giannina, together with a team of his own choosing. The film shows the beginnings of some of Torrente’s habits. It tells how he got into the habit of washing his hands before, rather than after, urinating, and of his fondness for masturbating. Torrente still owes “six thousand pesetas for whisky.”
