The story

His lack of childcare know-how causes trouble, and an unexpected visit from red-light district businessman Rocky Harkensen takes Ali away from home. When his friends realize Ali has disappeared, they set out to find him, taking Bobby with them.
Full plot (contains spoilers)
The young couple Melanie and Ali Struttmann, owners of the Struttmann Tile Center in Tötensen, decide to spend a weekend apart because Melanie wants to go on a wellness getaway with her two friends. But to Melanie’s surprise, the women secretly plan to fly to Ibiza, so they have to spend one more night in Hamburg and head out into its nightlife. Ali is supposed to look after their baby, Bobby, on his own, but his three buddies, Georgie, Hakan, and Mike, persuade him to have a proper night out with them. After all, he has the house to himself, and they ought to make the most of it. They promptly buy and bring over everything they need for a boozy night. But the baby needs looking after now and then, too, and Ali has accidentally burned his notes, so he doesn’t even know how to warm a bottle properly. It explodes in the microwave just as Melanie calls to check that everything is all right. Ali manages to reassure her, but nothing is all right anymore when red-light district big shot Rocky Harkensen turns up at the door unannounced. He had recently complained to Ali that the tiles Ali had laid were too slippery. Now there have been serious problems with the patrons at his sauna club, who have slipped on them, and Rocky takes Ali with him. Georgie, Hakan, and Mike notice that their friend has disappeared and set out to look for him. At a gas station, the three learn that someone else had already been asking about Ali, so they head to Hamburg. They take baby Bobby along, intending to leave him with Melanie’s father, Rudi, who lives there. Rudi doesn’t even know he’s become a grandfather, though, and he has changed a bit in recent years. He had discovered his feminine side some time ago, wears women’s clothes, and lives with a man. He is delighted to meet his grandson and is happy to take care of him. The three continue searching for Ali, but get stopped at a police checkpoint. Since they are not entirely sober and are driving a car that doesn’t belong to them, they are detained and taken to the station. Meanwhile, Rocky Harkensen has convinced Ali just how slippery the new tiles really are. He then forces Ali to perform as a stripper at his club. Ali and Melanie unexpectedly run into each other there, and both are horrified to find themselves face to face. Ali immediately flees. Melanie rushes after him and demands an explanation. They have no choice but to explain to each other why they are in Hamburg. Melanie also learns that Ali is partly to blame for Rocky Harkensen’s complaint: he had independently bought cheap goods from China and resold them at a high price as supposed brand-name products. Worried about Bobby, Melanie wants to get home as soon as possible. When they finally arrive, there is already a police car outside their house, and her father—much to her horror, dressed in women’s clothes—is just arriving in a taxi. Embarrassed by him, she briefly takes the baby from him and immediately sends him away again. Inside, the house looks like a battlefield, and the police are already waiting for Ali. They take him to the station so he can confirm that the impounded vehicle is his delivery van. He confirms it, thereby “freeing” his friends from detention. Back at the tile center, Rocky Harkensen is already waiting for Ali and insists on compensation. To his surprise, Ali’s father-in-law, Rudi, is there too, and intervenes on Ali’s behalf so the situation doesn’t escalate. He promises Rocky that he, Ali, and Ali’s three buddies will retile the 150-square-meter pool area overnight. Georgie, Hakan, and Mike are exhausted, though, and have little desire to stay up all night again. But they have no choice: to get Ali out of trouble, they pitch in, and in the end Rocky is satisfied. Melanie is proud of her husband too, and now sets off on her trip to Ibiza.
