Full plot (contains spoilers)
The film is about three boys: Bjørn, Sten, and Mulle. They go from being completely ordinary children from working-class backgrounds—except for Sten, who comes from a wealthy family but is neglected. Led by Sten, the boys turn to crime and vandalism. In the book Zappa, written by Bjarne Reuter, there is another boy named Uffe. Uffe does not appear in the film, but some of his lines are given to Bjørn or Mulle.
