Full plot (contains spoilers)
For years, Seitz has sexually abused his underage daughter and fathered her first child. He is a brutal violent offender with several previous convictions for similar crimes. When Tanja confides in her new boyfriend, he persuades her to go to the police. Seitz is convicted and even threatens in court to beat Tanja to death. Tanja and her boyfriend have long since married and have children of their own when, seven years later, their past catches up with them: they are terrified of Seitz, who is soon to be released from prison and has threatened revenge. Tanja and her family appeal to the authorities in vain. They can intervene only when there is a specific threat. But by then, Tanja fears, it will be too late—to protect her children and herself. Together, the family obtains a rifle. On the day Seitz has served his prison sentence, Tanja, her husband, and her mother lie in wait for him outside the prison and kill him.
