Full plot (contains spoilers)
Young Senay’s life has not been easy: her mother disappeared after she was born, and after her father suddenly dies, the neighbors entrust her to Zeki, her father’s friend and former colleague. The gay nightclub singer agrees to take Senay to her “aunt,” but is actually searching for her mother—a fact he tries to keep from her. On their journey from Hamburg through France to Istanbul, the unlikely pair experience both moments of growing closer and disappointments, and ultimately grow through the challenges they face.
