The story

Law students Charles Schmidt and Peter Ahlevig hope to win the interest of two young women. When Charles’s aunt, who is supposed to chaperone them, fails to arrive as expected, they enlist their friend Count Ditlev Lensbye to impersonate her as Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez from Brazil. The women quickly take a liking to the amusing aunt and initially suspect nothing, setting the students’ deception at the center of their courtship plans.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

The two young law students Charles Schmidt (Ove Sprogøe) and Peter Ahlevig (Ebbe Langberg) are eager to win the interest of two lovely girls (Ghita Nørby and Annie Birgit Garde). When Charles’s aunt, who is supposed to chaperone them, fails to arrive as expected, they hire a friend, Count Ditlev Lensbye (Dirch Passer), to play Charles’s aunt, Donna Lucia d’Alvadorez from Brazil. The girls quickly take a liking to the funny aunt and do not suspect a thing. At least, not to begin with. When the real aunt (played by Birgitte Federspiel) turns up after all, together with her companion (Susse Wold), the situation becomes even more complicated.
