Mistaken for a temporary waiter at his own hotel, Johannes plays along—and falls for Sophie as a buyer threatens the hotel.
The story
At his own Hotel Ritz, Johannes is mistaken by Sophie for the temporary waiter the hotel is expecting. Rather than correct her, he goes along with the mix-up and learns the hotel’s operations and staff from the perspective of an employee. In the course of this unusual experience, he falls in love with Sophie. But Johannes does not know that Sophie is already involved with Alain Tavernier, a man who wants to buy the hotel. The mistaken identity, Johannes’s growing feelings, and the proposed sale bring personal and professional tensions together.
