Full plot (contains spoilers)
Fabian Schlüter is a professional butler. He is put in charge of the preparations for the wedding of Patricia von Knesewitz, an impoverished aristocrat, and Bruno Meyer, a wealthy major investor. This proves challenging. Patricia and her family live in a run-down villa. When the groom sees it, he wants to call off the engagement, but changes his mind on the condition that the family makes an effort to behave better. Fabian prepares the wedding and keeps the bailiff at bay. His influence also has an effect on the family. At the engagement party, Bruno discovers Patricia’s good qualities too. However, Fabian has fallen in love with the princess. Since a butler is not supposed to have feelings for his employers, he resigns.
