When identical twins accuse one another of murder, baffled police struggle to determine which brother is telling the truth.

The story

A young woman is found murdered, and surveillance footage identifies her fiancé, Antoine, as the culprit. Antoine offers an alibi and accuses his identical twin, Tom, who also has an alibi. The brothers are opposites in fortune and temperament: Antoine is successful, while Tom is described as a jealous failure. As police investigate, the case grows more confusing because the twins use the same words and arguments and make the same gestures. The central question is which brother is responsible for the crime.

Full plot (contains spoilers)

A young woman is found strangled and disembowelled. The surveillance footage quickly identifies the culprit: Antoine, her fiancé. But he provides an alibi and accuses his identical twin, Tom. Antoine is the successful one; Tom is his brother’s jealous failure, but he too has an alibi. The police are baffled. Was the victim, who was pregnant, manipulated and deceived by two inseparable, perverse brothers? Which of the two killed little sister Zoé? Slit the dog’s throat? Murdered their parents? Antoine and Tom trade accusations, using the same words and arguments, and making the same gestures. And just when everything seems to point to Tom, one final sleight of hand by the two brothers muddles the trail again.
