The story
Sven Ritter lives with his mother, Edeltraut, who has dementia; they share an apartment and even a bed. Sven works at a bank, and while he is away, Daniel comes to care for Edeltraut. He takes her to the hairdresser, goes walking and shopping with her, and keeps the apartment in order. One day, Edeltraut leaves on her own. Sven and Daniel set out to look for her.

Sven Ritter lives with his mother, Edeltraut, who has dementia. They share their life, their apartment, and even a bed. During the day, he works at a bank. While Sven is at work, Daniel comes to the apartment to look after Edeltraut, taking her to the hairdresser, going for walks and shopping with her, and keeping the apartment in order. But one day, Edeltraut slips away on her own. The two men set out to look for her. What they find, however, is not only Edeltraut, but also a tender affection for each other that thoroughly turns both their lives upside down.
