Full plot (contains spoilers)
Mother and wife Trixi Jancik leads a double life. At home, she is a quiet, undemanding wife, but when she puts on her black wig, she indulges her passion for betting at the racetrack. There, she gambles away the household money and dreams of a better life. An ordinary argument at home causes the situation to escalate, and Trixi slips fatal medication into her husband’s cocktail. Now she enjoys her freedom, but the money soon runs out. A wealthy acquaintance she meets online seems to offer salvation, but before long everything is back to the way it was. Trixi reaches for the medicine bottle again. But soon her former neighbor Karli gets in touch: he has figured out what she is up to and wants a share.
