Doktorspiele (2014)

Summer vacation begins, and Andi is invited to a party hosted by Katja, whom he secretly adores. Bobby will be there too, and Katja is in love with him. Andi knows from an encounter in the shower after a soccer game that Bobby has an oversized penis. Andi, meanwhile, still suffers from a childhood trauma: when he was seven, his childhood friend Lilli saw him naked while they were playing doctor and then loudly announced to a crowd of summer-party guests just how tiny Andi’s penis was. Even so, Andi lets his best friend Harry persuade him to go to the party with Lilli, who has just arrived. As a small gift, he gives Katja a CD he burned himself, with songs he hopes his crush will like. At the party, Andi sings Katja a song while accompanying himself on electric guitar. When Katja comes over to him, he vomits all over her dress because by then he is dead drunk. As Lilli takes him outside, he accidentally falls into the pool. The next day, he wakes up in bed beside Lilli, who has undressed him so she can wash his soiled clothes. Andi is clearly embarrassed by the situation. At the outdoor swimming pool, Andi apologizes to Katja. She eventually accepts his apology and says she wants to meet up with him more often from then on—but only to make Bobby jealous. Meanwhile, Lilli gets to know Bobby better, and the two arrange to meet up more often. One evening, while Andi is at Katja’s and she is making increasingly sexual innuendos, Harry interrupts them. Bea’s father is chasing Harry in his car because Harry had wanted to film the two of them having sex with a camera for his own private use; Bea’s father, however, had misinterpreted the scene. The next day, Harry takes all his porn and his laptop to Bea’s parents’ house in a wheelbarrow. He wants to burn the porn and his laptop to show that he is turning his back on them. But the wheelbarrow slips forward and sets the house on fire. Andi’s mother is informed by phone and wants to punish him, but his father defends him, and the parents start arguing with each other. Katja and Andi meet again. When Katja wants to sleep with him, he realizes—partly after accidentally finding the CD he had given her in her wastepaper basket—that Katja isn’t serious about him, and he goes home before anything happens between them. He realizes that he actually has feelings for Lilli, and records a song for her on his computer. Later, Andi sees Bobby bringing Lilli home. When Lilli comes upstairs to see him, Andi doesn’t believe that nothing happened between them and makes his disapproval of her behavior clear. The following day, after the soccer game, Andi wants to confront Bobby, but Bobby tells him that Lilli has fallen in love with him and that he himself is gay. Andi heads to the train station to catch Lilli before she leaves, and sends her the song he produced along the way. When Lilli receives it, she gets off the train, and the two kiss. As Andi and Lilli lie in bed together, they play doctor again.
