Dora Heldt: Urlaub mit Papa (2009)

After her divorce, Christine wants to go to Norderney with her friend Dorothea to help Marleen, the owner of a guesthouse, renovate it. Since Dagmar has to undergo an operation, Heinz is left to fend for himself and persuades his daughter to take him along to Norderney, too. On Norderney, the bar renovation is in full swing. Heinz, and later his friend Kalli as well, try to take charge, much to the owner’s displeasure. At the same time, Christine falls in love with Johann, a guest at the guesthouse. However, the pushy, jealous local reporter Gisbert thinks Johann is a marriage swindler and secretly lies in wait for the couple. But when Johann has to leave for a short time and asks for 800 euros, the people around Christine also become suspicious. Christine, however, believes Johann is sincere. When the ID card of the man believed to be Johann is eventually found, revealing his real name, “Sebastian von Ahnen,” Christine sees him and his father, Hubert, as a pair of fraudsters. But the sister clears everything up: Sebastian was asked to come to the island to check out Marleen, since she is soon to marry Hubert. Christine and Sebastian apologize to each other and embrace.
