Durchs wilde Kurdistan (1965)

When Ahmed El Corda, son of the Sheikh of the Haddedihn, forbids soldiers under the command of the Machredsch of Mosul from drawing water at a well in the desert, he is captured after a fight and taken to the prison in Burusco. He is to be executed there. Kara Ben Nemsi, who had defeated the fearsome Schut and been honored by the Padishah, is about to return to his homeland when he hears of Ahmed’s capture. He sets out with Hadschi Halef Omar to free his fellow tribesman. On the way, they meet Sir David Lindsay and his servant Archie, who join the rescue mission. Shortly afterward, they narrowly manage to repel an attack by the Machredsch’s soldiers on a Yezidi village. Defeated and bent on revenge, the Machredsch withdraws. In Buruscu, Kara Ben Nemsi wins the trust of the town’s commander (Mütesselin), but the Machredsch lures him into a trap. He manages to escape and, at the last moment, saves Ahmed El Corda. Shortly afterward, however, Sir David, Archie, Ingdscha—the daughter of the Chaldeans’ leader—and her maid Benda fall into the Machredsch’s hands. While trying to free them, Sheikh Mohammed Emin, Ahmed El Corda’s father, is shot dead. Sheikh Kadir Bei, who had witnessed the fight, has the group captured, and Kara Ben Nemsi and his friends are once again sentenced to death—but this time Ingdscha and Benda free them. While pursuing the Machredsch, he apparently falls to his death from a mountain during a fight.
